POSITION: Head of Ministry and Service.
RESPONSIBLE TO: The Principal and the Board of Directors.
REPORTS TO: The Principal.
KEY FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: The Head of Ministry and Service is appointed by the Board of Directors but reports directly to the Principal on a day-to-day basis. The role works closely with the Head of Junior School (K–6), and other key academic and pastoral leaders to ensure alignment and excellence in the delivery of teaching and learning programs across the College.

The Head of Ministry and Service is a leadership role, responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of Christian Education, Ministry and Service, with oversight and collaborative input across P–12. Grounded in the Christian ethos of the College and inspired by a culture of excellence, this role leads and nurtures the spiritual, pastoral and service dimensions of the school community fostering a culture of compassion, justice and faith-informed action. This role integrates ministry leadership, service learning, staff development and wellbeing to support the holistic formation of students and staff.
Ministry Leadership
- Guide the spiritual life of the school in alignment with Presbyterian theology and practice.

Develop and implement a strategic vision for ministry that engages students, staff and families.

Facilitate opportunities for worship, prayer and theological reflection.

Support staff and students in exploring and deepening their faith journeys.

Collaborate with local churches and faith-based organisations to enrich school ministry.

Lead and develop the Christian Education program of the College to be responsive to the needs of young women.
Service Leadership
- Design and oversee service-learning programs that connect faith with action.

Promote a culture of social inclusivity, ethical responsibility and active citizenship.

Build partnerships with local and global service organisations.

Ensure service initiatives are inclusive, sustainable and educationally rich.

Evaluate the impact of service programs on student learning and community wellbeing.
Staff Leadership and Development
- Provide leadership and mentoring to staff involved in ministry, service and wellbeing roles.

Facilitate professional learning opportunities in faith formation and service pedagogy.

Encourage collaborative planning and reflective practice among staff.

Support staff in integrating ministry and service into their teaching and leadership.
Staff Wellbeing
- Contribute to the Wellbeing Team based in relational pedagogy, Collaborative Problem Solving and Restorative practice.

Foster a collaborative, respectful and supportive team culture based in the values of our Christ-centred faith.

Lead initiatives that foster community, belonging and spiritual nourishment.

Provide support and guidance to staff during times of personal or professional challenge.

Expertise
- Formal qualifications in theology, ministry or a related field.

Must have a teaching qualification and current QCT registration.

Experience in Christian formation and service leadership within schools.

Strong understanding of Presbyterian tradition and theology.

Knowledge of service-learning pedagogy and community engagement strategies.
-
Proven capacity to lead staff development and wellbeing initiatives.
Teaching Load
- The role includes a teaching component of approximately 0.4 FTE, to maintain a visible and active presence in the classroom and model best practice.

Selection Process
