MCB Civil is seeking an experienced and reliable Excavator Operator to join our team across a range of civil construction projects.
About the role
The successful applicant will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating excavators and other civil construction machinery. General labouring duties will also be required when necessary.
Key responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate excavators
- Complete daily machinery checks and basic maintenance
- Assist with general civil labouring duties
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures
- Take pride in the quality of work and care of machinery
Essential requirements
- Previous experience operating excavators in civil construction
- Current driver’s licence
- Current Construction White Card
- Relevant machinery tickets or verified competencies
- Sound knowledge of safe operating practices
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Good communication skills
A truck licence and experience operating additional civil machinery would be highly regarded.
The position will initially be casual, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.
Pay will be in accordance with award rates, with classification depending on experience.
