About the role
IGA Telarah is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Team Member on a casual to join our dynamic retail team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a customer-focused organization . As a Team Member, you will play a vital role in delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining our store to the highest standards. This casual position offers flexibility whilst contributing to the success of our retail operations.
Key responsibilities
- Providing friendly, efficient and professional customer service to all shoppers
- Processing customer transactions accurately using our point-of-sale systems
- Stocking shelves with products, ensuring items are displayed attractively and maintained to company standards
- Maintaining a clean and organized store environment, including till areas and customer-facing spaces
- Assisting with receiving and unpacking deliveries, and checking stock accuracy
- Handling customer enquirers and complaints in a professional and courteous manner
- Following all company policies, procedures and relevant retail regulations
- Supporting the team with various store duties as required
What we're looking for
- Availability on Most Sundays and 3 days weekdays/after school.
- Excellent customer service skills with a genuine passion for helping others
- Strong communication abilities and a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to commit to scheduled shifts
- Basic numeracy skills and comfort using point-of-sale systems
- Physical capability to lift, carry and stand for extended periods
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment
- A willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
- Previous retail or customer service experience is advantageous
