We are seeking a part time Program Worker, Youth Access to join our team across both Lismore and Ballina to help make a positive social change, together.

What you'll be doing
- Work collaboratively with Young People and their Families to support their mental health and wellbeing
- Provide intake, assessment and brief intervention supports to Young People as they access the headspace service
- Be part of a multidisciplinary team providing holistic support to Young People
- Develop your skills and knowledge in undertaking assessments and implementing brief evidence-based interventions
What we're looking for
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in health, psychology, social work, or a related discipline that provides a sound understanding and knowledge of assessing and working with young people experiencing mental health concerns.
- Engage and communicate effectively with young people, and to undertake intake and screening activities to determine young people’s needs.
- The ability and experience to conduct risk assessments, including suicide, self-harm and violence risks, and to develop safety and wellbeing plans to mitigate these risks.
- Experience in delivering brief therapeutic interventions, psychoeducation, treatment planning and assist young people to access appropriate services.
