Responsibilities
About the Role
This is a casual event-based opportunity across the three-day Good Food & Wine Festival, with typical working hours of 9:30am to 6:00pm each day.
Working within premium VIP hospitality areas, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, preparing and serving beverages, and creating a welcoming and professional experience for VIP guests. This role is ideal for individuals with strong hospitality experience who thrive in fast-paced event environments and take pride in providing premium service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service to VIP guests throughout the event.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with RSA requirements.
- Maintain a professional, friendly, and engaging presence within VIP areas.
- Process beverage orders efficiently and accurately.
- Ensure bar areas remain clean, organised, and fully stocked.
- Monitor responsible alcohol service practices at all times.
- Assist with bar setup, restocking, and pack-down activities.
- Work collaboratively with event supervisors, bar managers, and fellow team members.
- Maintain high standards of presentation and professionalism.
Respond promptly and courteously to guest enquiries and request
Your Profile
- Previous experience working in bars, hospitality venues, corporate events, festivals, or VIP hospitality environments.
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.
- Professional presentation and grooming standards.
- Availability to work all three event days from approximately 9:30am to 6:00pm.
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
- Experience working within VIP lounges, premium hospitality, or major events.
- Cocktail-making experience or premium beverage service experience.
- Strong understanding of guest experience and customer engagement.
Confidence interacting with a diverse range of guests and stakeholders.
