About Us
Zadas Taste is a growing retail food business operating a cafe and convenience store, committed to providing high-quality products and exceptional customer service. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to oversee daily operations, lead our team, and drive business performance.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
o Managing the daily operations of Zadas Taste Cafe and EzyMart.
o Determining product ranges, pricing, stock levels and customer service standards.
o Monitoring inventory, conducting stocktakes, controlling wastage and ordering stock.
o Liaising with suppliers regarding product availability, deliveries, pricing and quality.
o Receiving deliveries and ensuring products are correctly stored, labelled and displayed.
o Planning and implementing sales, merchandising, pricing and promotional activities.
o Monitoring customer service standards and resolving customer complaints professionally.
o Managing budgets, sales targets, purchasing costs, labour costs and financial performance.
o Preparing regular reports on sales, stock, wastage and operational performance.
o Recruiting, training, supervising and managing the performance of employees.
o Preparing staff rosters according to business needs, trading hours and labour budgets.
o Training staff in customer service, food handling, point-of-sale procedures and stock control.
o Ensuring compliance with work health and safety, food-safety, hygiene and hospital-site requirements.
o Maintaining compliance with company policies, relevant legislation and workplace procedures.
o Protecting business assets by managing cash, stock, equipment, security procedures and loss prevention.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this role, applicants should have:
· Relevant qualification in Retail Management, Business Administration, Leadership and Management, or a related field.
· At least 1 year of relevant experience in a retail management or supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Experience in stock control, purchasing, and inventory management.
- Sound understanding of retail business operations and sales performance management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet business targets.
