About the Role
We are currently seeking compassionate, reliable and experienced Mental Health Support Worker to join our team. This role focuses on building strong, positive relationships with participant while supporting them in their daily lives, both at home and in the community.
Client Profile
This client is a 32-year-old man experiencing ongoing mental health challenges, with mood that may vary day to day. He requires support with daily living and benefits from consistent, calm, and person-centred care tailored to his needs at the time. Support tasks may change based on his wellbeing and guidance from his guardian.
Support Schedule
- Monday, Tuesday, Saturday: 9:30 AM – 2:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
You will play a vital role in supporting participants to live independently and achieve their goals. This includes:
- Providing person-centred care and daily living support
- Supporting community access and social participation
- Assisting with meal preparation and light household tasks
- Administering or assisting with medication
- Maintaining accurate progress notes and documentation
- Supporting individuals with behaviours of concern when required

Requirements
- Experience supporting individuals with mental health needs
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (or equivalent experience)
- Current First Aid and CPR
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence, Car and insurance

Pay: $35.00 – $37.00 per hour

- What types of mental health presentations have you supported previously (for example anxiety, depression, trauma, schizophrenia, psychosocial disability, behaviors of concern)?
- This role may involve supporting clients with household duties, including cleaning, cooking and meal preparation. Is this something you are comfortable with and able to undertake as part of your support work responsibilities?
- This role requires availability on Mondays, Tuesdays and Saturdays from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM. Will you be available to work these scheduled hours?
