THE POSITION:
Fairfield City Swim Academy is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and proactive individual to join our dynamic team as a Swim Academy Coordinator.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the delivery and growth of one of Council's leading aquatic education programs. Working within a supportive and collaborative environment, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the Swim Academy, including Learn to Swim programs, squad coaching, school programs and other aquatic education services.
As the Swim Academy Coordinator, you will lead and support a team of permanent and casual staff, ensuring programs are delivered to a high standard and that customers receive an exceptional experience. You will oversee program administration, manage enquiries and bookings, coordinate staffing requirements, and contribute to the ongoing development and success of the Swim Academy.

ESSENTIAL:
As per the position Description. When applying for the position it is necessary to describe the level of knowledge, skills, qualifications and experience required for the position including:
- Must have relevant industry qualifications Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety Certificate from any of the following Organisations Austswim, Royal Life Saving Swim Australia, AMPD.
- Current CPR Certificate
- Current Working with Children’s Check.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working within the Aquatic Industry
- Strong understanding of the Aquatic and Learn-to-Swim industry and programs.
- Demonstrated experience with facility management systems.
- Demonstrated experience in program development & implementation.
- Demonstrated experience in supervision/management of staff.
DESIRABLE:
- Relevant industry qualifications in extension Certification eg Access and Inclusion, Infants and Pre School or Competitive Strokes
- Coaching Qualification.
- Assessor Certification
- Staff Performance Management
SALARY & EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:
- Permanent position, 76 hours per fortnight between 5am -11pm Monday to Sunday. Commencing and finishing times will be flexible and depend on operational needs.
- This position is a Grade 4, salary range is $80,758 p.a. with possible progression to $86,962 p.a. on demonstrated competencies, with performance progression to $94,595 p.a, plus 12% Super
- Position includes Sick leave and Annual leave entitlements.
- Uniform provided.
