We're looking for a compassionate and dedicated Patient Support Assistant to join our friendly team at a small country Multi-Purpose Service (MPS), providing high-quality care to our aged care and palliative residents.
As part of our close-knit team, you'll play an essential role in supporting residents, patients, families and carers in a welcoming rural healthcare environment. Every day brings the opportunity to make a real difference while working alongside experienced and supportive healthcare professionals.
About the Role
Reporting to the Health Service Manager (HSM), you'll be responsible for a variety of patient care and support services, including:

Assisting with patient lifting, transfers, personal care and hygiene.

Providing cleaning services in line with infection prevention and control standards, including terminal cleaning and linen management.

Maintaining cleaning equipment and supplies, including checking and replacing ward oxygen cylinders.

Supporting patient transfers, portering duties and the collection and delivery of pharmacy items and clinical waste.

Assisting with patient flow and contributing to a safe, clean and efficient healthcare environment.

Completing cleaning documentation and adhering to Workplace Health and Safety requirements.

Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver outstanding patient care.
