Responsibilities:

Assist the Deputy Principal and Curriculum Leader (Years 11 & 12) with the design and implementation of internal VET Programs, including coordinating relevant curriculum documentation, curriculum design, and subject handbooks

Monitor student achievement and progress in VET studies
-
Liaise with the Administrative Assistant (Senior Curriculum) to monitor and ensure accurate and consistent reporting on VASS in line with VCAA requirements
-
Coordinate the external VET program for students at the College, including liaising with the Hume VET Cluster regarding available courses, coordinating student enrolment, and monitoring attendance and progress.

Prompt follow-up of attendance and/or progress issues ensuring clear and regular communication with external providers, internal VET teachers, students, parents and College leadership to intervene as early as possible where students are at risk

Assist with the management of Staff VET Accreditation

Contribute to student subject selection processes

Contribute to transition experiences and programs for students, including Discovery Days, Pre-Start programs etc.

Qualifications and Skills:

Current valid VIT Registration
-
Relevant teaching qualification and registration.
-
Demonstrated leadership experience in a similar role or capacity.

Strong knowledge of curriculum development and assessment practices.
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Ability to provide feedback, support, and mentorship to teachers.
-
Proficiency in data analysis and using insights for targeted professional development.
-
Experience in managing budgets and resources effectively.
-
Commitment to the Catholic ethos of the College and promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.
