The Opportunity:
We are seeking a motivated and proactive Assistant Accountant to join our Enfield team.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a growing operation where you will play a key role supporting daily business functions and operational administration.
Working alongside an experienced manager with over 17 years in the industry, you’ll be part of a down-to-earth and collaborative team where your contribution will be genuinely valued.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, can manage competing priorities and takes pride in maintaining accurate systems and processes.
You will:
Process purchase orders, invoices and general accounts administration
Assist with weekly and monthly P&L reporting, cost tracking and financial administration support
Complete data entry and maintain accurate operational and financial records
Coordinate customer accounts and responding to client enquiries
Support internal auditing, compliance and reporting requirements
Assist the operational team with day-to-day administrative support
Maintain management information systems and reporting databases
Liaise with internal stakeholders, customers and suppliers
Ensure company systems, procedures and compliance standards are met
Support continuous improvement initiatives across administration and accounting processes
What you’ll bring:
Previous administration experience in a fast-paced environment
Exposure to accounts administration, purchase orders or finance support functions
Understanding of P&L support, reconciliations or operational cost tracking highly regarded
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Positive attitude and team-focused approach
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills and confidence learning new systems
Transport and logistics industry experience highly regarded
Certificate IV in Business Administration or similar qualification desirable
