Verona School is an intensive learning support setting with 105 students in Years 5-12. The position of Teacher Special Education is open to all teachers with experience delivering mainstream education with intensive supports.

Approval or willingness to teach Special Education and/or experience teaching students with complex behavioural, emotional, mental health, autism and diverse learning needs.

Demonstrated ability to plan, implement and differentiate quality teaching and learning programs to improve student engagement and learning outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement Personalised Learning Plans, Behaviour Support plans and wellbeing strategies that promote student growth, high expectations and engagement for a range of student learning needs.

Demonstrated interpersonal, communication and organisational skills, with the capacity to work collaboratively with students, staff, parents/carers and external agencies.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
