Some supervisors run a warehouse. We're looking for one who leads a team.
New Aim is Australia's largest private ecommerce company. Since 2005, we've evolved from marketplace seller to ecommerce enabler, ranking among the 'Top 500 Private Companies' in Australia. You might not know our name, but you'll know our products — brands like Artiss, Devanti, Gardeon and Giselle Bedding, sold through Myer, Amazon, Bunnings and dozens of other retailers. Our business-to-many model is unique in the Australian market, and behind it sits a team of more than 400 people, five warehouses and proprietary technology that keeps thousands of orders moving every day.
Our Truganina Distribution Centre is the engine house of our business, a 31,500 sqm facility that gets thousands of products moving to more than half of Australian households. Behind every one of those deliveries is a team of people who are the engine room of our company.
The role of Supervisor in our Truganina facility has been created as a role that will support the manager with leading the team to achieve their best. The role would be ideal for someone who has experience leading the team, whilst being operational.
What you'll actually do:
- Run the daily rhythm of the DC: receiving, replenishment, dispatch, alongside a Warehouse Manager who knows operations inside out
- Be the person your team comes to first: acknowledges the everyday achievements, sort the small stuff before it becomes big stuff, and have the honest conversations (including the hard ones) with fairness and respect
- Build the kind of floor culture where people feel safe to speak up, get recognised for good work, and genuinely want to come in
- During peak season, you will lead the afternoon shift (2pm – 10pm)
What you'll bring:
- At least a year supervising in a large warehouse (20,000+ sqm)
- Real experience leading blue-collar teams, in coaching, performance conversations, resolving complaints, lifting morale
- A safety-first mindset that covers how people feel at work, not just how they lift
This role will report to our DC Manager, and works to support our experienced team members, in a large facility, so be ready to take on more than operations. We’re looking forward to discussing more about the role with you.
New Aim is an equal opportunity employer. Applicants must have full Australian work rights.
Pay: From $1.00 per month
Work Location: In person
