Introduction:
The Tritton mine has a 20+ years history of underground operations. We are continually looking at ways to improve our underground operation and refine how we make our existing mine perform into the future. This is all part of the “Tritton Way Forward” our innovative approach to ensuring the continued and future success of our Tritton Operations.
We are looking for an experienced H&S professional familiar with underground mining Emergency Management/ Mine Rescue aspects of the role. The Senior H&S Advisors is a role model with the workforce to promote the effective application of injury management, return to work, occupational health monitoring and fitness for work in support of improving the health and safety, ensuring we have an active Mines Rescue team capable to respond to any emergency event at Tritton Operations.
The role responsibilities include
Development, implementation, review, and maintenance of the Tritton Safety Management System to ensure compliance with legislation.
Training, guidance and coaching to management, supervisors, and workers to ensure an understanding of the SMS to facilitate safe work practices.
Identification and analysis of critical risks and the development of controls (PHMP’s, PCP’s).
Development, implementation, and review of documentation supporting PHMP’s and PCP’s.
Providing support, guidance and coaching to department safety advisors.
Facilitate and support the site risk management process including risk identification, risk assessment and implementation of risk treatment aligned with the hierarchy of controls.
Advises and assists on the implementation of the site Emergency Response Team structure including ERP, training / exercises, testing / maintenance of live saving equipment and medical / mutual aid services
Supports the Incident Management process including facilitation of investigations and support for case / injury management as required.
