About the role
The Endocrinology Research Fellow or Registrar provides dedicated clinical research support within the Department of Endocrinology and Diabetes at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital. This role offers an outstanding opportunity to develop advanced research skills while contributing to a highly active and diverse endocrinology research program, including clinical trials and investigator-led research projects.
The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of clinical trials, provide clinical care to research participants and support the advancement of endocrinology research within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment. The role also provides opportunities to lead research activities in areas of individual interest, supported by experienced senior clinicians and researchers.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Identify, recruit and support clinical trial participants while contributing to the safe and effective delivery of endocrinology research studies.
Provide clinical care, undertake study visits and monitor participant progress in accordance with research protocols, ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
Assess, manage and report adverse events while maintaining oversight of participant safety and research quality.
Collaborate closely with clinical research nurses, multidisciplinary teams and senior clinicians to support the successful delivery of clinical trials and research initiatives.
Lead and contribute to endocrinology research projects, scholarly activities and research publications that advance knowledge and improve patient outcomes.
