Position: Early Childhood Teacher
What We Are Looking For:
We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and experienced Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. As an Early Childhood Teacher at Chipmunks Childcare, you will be responsible for creating a positive and enriching learning environment for children while building meaningful relationships with families, educators, and the community. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who is committed to delivering high-quality early childhood education and care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with children, families, educators, and the broader community.
- Create and maintain a safe, fun, and engaging learning environment that fosters curiosity and development.
- Implement a high-quality educational program in consultation with children, families, educators, and the community.
- Observe, document, and communicate the progress and development of each child in your care.
- Use circular planning and reflective practice to continuously enhance the learning environment and outcomes for children.
- Lead and mentor a team of educators, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures, including the National Quality Framework (NQF) and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Experience in a childcare setting is preferred.
- Hold an Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) qualification.
- Current First Aid, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certificates.
- Current NSW Working With Children Check.
- Ability to collaborate with other educators and build strong, cohesive programs.
- Strong knowledge of the EYLF and NQS.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A passion for providing high-quality care and education to young children.
- Leadership ability and confidence in managing a team.
