Central Coast Local Health District is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 to join our dedicated Paediatric team at Wyong Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled paediatric nurse to provide advanced clinical care, demonstrate professional leadership, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality, family-centred healthcare across our paediatric services.
Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in coordinating and delivering evidence-based care for infants, children, and adolescents with a range of acute and complex health needs. You will also support quality improvement initiatives, mentor junior staff, and promote excellence in paediatric nursing practice.

About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 to join our Paediatric team. This role provides advanced clinical nursing care to infants, children, young people, and their families while demonstrating clinical leadership, education, and quality improvement within a multidisciplinary environment.
The successful applicant will contribute to the delivery of safe, evidence-based, family-centred care and support excellence in paediatric nursing practice.

Deliver advanced, patient-centred nursing care for paediatric patients with complex health needs.

Provide clinical leadership, mentorship, and support to nursing staff.

Coordinate and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.

Promote evidence-based practice and participate in clinical quality improvement initiatives.

Educate patients, families, students, and staff.

Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with organisational policies and professional standards.

Participate in service development, research, and professional practice activities.

About You
We are looking for someone who has:

Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.

Relevant postgraduate qualification in Paediatric Nursing.

Minimum three years' post-registration experience in paediatric nursing, including substantial experience in the relevant specialty.

Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and decision-making skills.

Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Commitment to continuous quality improvement and professional development.
