About Us: The Fig Trees Disability Services is growing! As a leading NDIS Provider, we are searching for dedicated Casual Disability Support Workers to join our team in Adelaide’s West. The Role: This frontline position focuses on implementing individualised support plans that keep our NDIS participants at the core of everything we do. Your goal will be to enhance independence, champion social inclusion, and support everyday well-being.
What the Job Involves:
- Guiding clients through daily skill development, including communication and self-care.
- Assisting with household management, domestic tasks, and grocery shopping.
- Providing compassionate, person-centred support with personal care (bathing, dressing, meal preparation, and grooming).
- Enabling active community engagement and recreational participation.
- Offering dedicated companionship and emotional reassurance.
- Liaising with families, clients, and our broader coordination team.
- Keeping reliable records and ensuring client safety aligns with NDIS rules.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Preferably 6+ months of experience in the disability sector.
- Holding a Certificate III or IV in Disability Support (or equivalent).
- Excellent communication skills, natural rapport-building, solid time management, and basic tech literacy.
Non-Negotiable Requirements:
- Qualification relevant to the industry
- Driver's Licence & Reliable, Comprehensively Insured Vehicle.
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificates.
- Valid NDIS Worker Check, WWCC, National Police Certificate.
- Completed NDIS Induction Modules.
- Manual Handling & Infection Control training.
- Smartphone.
The Rewards:
- SCHADS Level 2.1-3.2 Rates: $34.44 - $36.23 hourly, scaling with experience/education. Earn penalty rates for Weekends, Public Holidays, Evenings, and Nights. Shift allowances apply for Mileage, First Aid, Broken Shifts, and Passive Sleepovers.
- Work-Life Balance: Casual hours ranging from 10 to 38 hours weekly. Shifts span mornings, afternoons, nights, and weekends.
