Join our team as a Tender and Contracts Officer
Are you passionate about procurement and delivering strong commercial and contract outcomes? This is an opportunity to support strategic sourcing and contract management activities, particularly across building and construction projects. You will play a key role in supporting end-to-end tender and contract processes, ensuring compliant, high-quality procurement outcomes for Council. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and managing tender documentation for commercial bids.
- Coordinating tender processes, including evaluation of submissions.
- Drafting and administering contracts in line with Council policy and legislation.
- Providing procurement and contract advice to internal stakeholders.
- Supporting contract management activities, including monitoring performance and risk.
- Preparing reports and documentation to support procurement and contract processes.
Skills and experience:
Demonstrated experience in procurement, tendering and/or contract management.
Sound understanding of procurement frameworks and relevant legislation (for example Local Government Act and Regulation).
Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships.
Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
High attention to detail and strong problem-solving capability.
Well-developed IT skills, including MS Office and related systems.
Formal qualifications in Procurement, Contracting or Business Management, or equivalent relevant experience would be highly regarded.
