The Salvation Army is seeking a compassionate, spiritually grounded Chaplain to join our multifaith chaplaincy team serving people in custody across New South Wales. This is a unique opportunity to bring hope, dignity, and holistic care to individuals navigating some of life’s most challenging circumstances.
As a Prison Chaplain, you will provide personcentred spiritual, pastoral, and religious support within Kempsey correctional centre. Working collaboratively with a diverse chaplaincy team and correctional staff, you will help meet the spiritual needs of people in custody and staff, offering guidance, connection, and care grounded in Wesleyan theology.
Your work will include facilitating worship services, Bible studies, ceremonies, and ensuring access to appropriate faith support. You will also play a key role in responding to critical incidents with traumainformed pastoral care, contributing to a safe and supportive environment.
This is a full-time permanent position based in Kempsey, Mid-North Coast NSW. Salary is in accordance with Hay Level 12.
Complete all administrative, WHS, risk management, and OIMS reporting requirements to maintain service integrity.
