Our Venues:
Our venues Ormond House, Luminaire, Glasshouse and State Library Victoria provide stunning event spaces for corporate dinners, conferences, cocktail parties, private occasions, weddings, milestone celebrations, and everything in-between. In addition to our venues we also have a Production Kitchen in North Melbourne to support the volume of events within our venues.

Position:
With our high-end venues, private clients, production kitchens, seasonal events as well as landmark retail spaces, we are looking for Casual Senior Events Chefs to join our team and take pride in delivering events to the standard our guests and clients are accustomed to.
Main duties:
- Manage a team, assign tasks, implement breaks, and ensure team members understand their responsibilities, promoting smooth workflows and effective communication.
- Uphold implemented food safety and hygiene standards within the kitchens.
- Follow instructions to achieve food standards and presentation as detailed in TBG menu look books and recipes.
- Maintain strong working relationships with senior BOH staff, event managers, FOH supervisors and your own team.
- Prepare detailed end-of-night reports after each event.
Skills/Experience Required:
- High standards of food delivery and presentation, following the briefs given by the culinary director and Head Chef.
- Flexibility to handle high volume events and pivot to accommodate last minute changes and updates from clients or event managers.
- Ability to problem solve and overcome challenges associated with kitchen equipment, ingredients, or menu items, when working in temporary kitchens.
- Leading Teams during high volume events working to strengths and highlighting areas for improvement.
- Capability to reflect on performance and challenges faced to write well considered end of shift reports.
- Strong knowledge of Food Safety Standards (Including FSS Qualification) and Food Allergens training.
- Experience in BOH logistics a bonus.
