The Role
We are currently seeking experienced, calm and highly reliable Support Workers to join a specialised support team supporting a male participant in Tweed Heads.
This is a rewarding opportunity for support workers who enjoy working in structured environments and have experience supporting participants with complex psychosocial and behavioural support needs.
About the Participant
The participant has diagnoses including:
- Intellectual Disability
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- ADHD
Supports focus on:
- Daily living assistance.
- Emotional regulation.
- Establishing routines and structure.
- Community access.
- Building independence while maintaining safety.
Shift Details
- Approximately 6-hour shifts per day.
- Opportunity for ongoing work for the right support team.
- Focus on providing consistent, structured support in both the home and community.
Important Information
- This is a high-risk support requiring an experienced worker.
- History of self-harm and suicidal ideation/attempts.
- Can present with verbal aggression and emotional dysregulation during periods of stress.
- Benefits from calm, consistent and non-confrontational support.
- Strong boundaries, confidence and previous experience supporting participants with complex behaviours and mental health presentations are highly desirable.
Important Information
Due to the nature of the support, this role may involve responding to behaviours of concern, emotional escalation, and high-risk community situations. Ongoing guidance and support will be provided to the successful team.

Checks
All staff must have current a NDIS Worker Screening Check, WWCC, First Aid & CPR, and covid certification. A driver's license and car is required.
