POLYKASTRON PTY LTD trading as Poly 4x4 has been operating since 2001 and specialises in Jeep, Chrysler and Dodge vehicle diagnostics, servicing and repair. We are also Australia’s largest independent suppliers of parts for these brands.
We seek an enthusiastic motor mechanic to join our team on a full-time permanent basis. Working as part of our boarder Service Department you will undertake the following duties:
· Diagnose, defective components using tools like scanning devices as needed
· Conduct routine maintenance services (major and minor) including logbook services, to ensure vehicles run smoothly and meet manufacture specifications.
· Inspect and test mechanical parts after repairs to ensure proper functioning
· Repair damaged parts and reassemble mechanical components, consulting services manuals as needed
· Identify health and safety protocols and worship procedures, including safe handling of hazardous oils, fluids, greases and machinery
· Maintain, repair and test engines and mechanical systems in lightweight vehicles, such as suspension, steering, brakes and transmission.
· Adhere to environmental regulations by trapping, storing and disposing of lubricants and fluids in compliance with guidelines
Skills and Qualifications
· AQF Certificate III in Automotive or higher
· At least 12 months of work experience
· Strong technical skills in vehicle repair and maintenance
· Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
· Ability to communicate effectively with customers and provide exceptional service
· Commitment to safety and maintaining a clean work environment
· Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
