The Role
We're looking for a reliable Delivery Driver to deliver wholesale meat products to our trade customers across Melbourne and surrounds. Our fleet includes vans and small trucks that can be driven on a standard car licence.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Deliver wholesale meat products to customers on time and in full
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes and time schedules
- Load, unload, inspect and operate the delivery vehicle
- Collect payments from customers where required
- Complete delivery logs and paperwork accurately
- Maintain the cold chain and follow food safety and industrial safety standards at all times
Qualifications & Experience
- Valid car driver's licence — our vans and small trucks can be driven on a standard car licence
- HR licence not essential, but highly regarded
- Previous experience as a delivery driver
- Comfortable with regular manual handling (loading and unloading meat cartons)
- Reliable, punctual and well presented
- Good communication skills for dealing with customers on delivery runs
- Understanding of food handling and safety standards, or willingness to learn
