OT Linkcaring is seeking a Casual Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our occupational therapy team.
The successful applicant will work under the direction and supervision of Occupational Therapists, supporting NDIS participants to improve their independence and participation in everyday activities.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist Occupational Therapists in delivering therapy programs and interventions.
- Support participants to develop skills and independence in daily activities.
- Assist with information gathering and preparation for Functional Capacity Assessments.
- Support the implementation of OT recommendations and therapy programs.
- Assist with paediatric participants, including those with ASD, ADHD, developmental delay and sensory processing difficulties.
- Assist with Assistive Technology (AT) trials, equipment setup and participant training.
- Assist with measurements, photographs and information gathering for home modifications.
- Complete progress notes and other documentation as required.
- Support participants in their homes and community to work towards their NDIS and therapy goals.
- Liaise with participants, families, support workers and other professionals as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
Requirements
You are required to have:
- Relevant experience, study or qualifications in occupational therapy, allied health, disability or a related field.
- Current Police Check.
- Working with Children Check.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain one.
- Australian working rights.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Access to a reliable vehicle for community-based work where required.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently while following the direction and supervision of an Occupational Therapist.

Experience:
- Occupational therapy: 1 year (Preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Working with Children Check (Preferred)
- AHPRA registration (Preferred)
- Driver Licence (Preferred)
