Senior Motor Mechanic (Full-Time)

Pay: $50 - $55 per hour (based on experience) + superannuation
The Garage Collective is seeking an experienced Senior Motor Mechanic to join our busy workshop in Miami, QLD. This is a hands-on role for a qualified tradesperson who can work independently, lead by example, and take complex jobs from diagnosis through to completion. You'll be the person the team turns to when a tricky fault needs sorting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out advanced diagnostics, servicing and repairs across a range of makes and models
- Use diagnostic equipment and software to identify and resolve electrical, mechanical and electronic faults
- Complete logbook servicing, brakes, suspension, steering and driveline work to a high standard
- Conduct vehicle inspections and roadworthy testing
- Mentor and support apprentices and junior mechanics
- Maintain accurate service records and job documentation
- Ensure all work is completed to Australian standards in a clean, safe workshop
Skills and Experience Required:
- Cert III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent trade qualification)
- Proven experience at a senior level with strong diagnostic skills
- Confident using modern diagnostic scan tools and software
- Ability to work autonomously and manage your own workload
- A safety-first attitude and genuine pride in quality workmanship
- Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset
- Current Australian driver's license (manual)
