The Assembly Associate reports to the Production Manager and is responsible for assembling and packaging of cables and electronics. The role is also accountable for meeting and exceeding company-wide expectations in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, attendance, and attitude/teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assembling of wire harnesses and cable looms
- Crimping of terminals on to electrical wiring
- Inserting of electrical wires into sleeves
- Assembly of electronic devices
- Soldering of wire ends
- Testing of the wire continuity
- Use of semi-automatic cutting and crimping machines
- Ensure required quality levels are achieved in accordance with specifications
- Maintain a safe, organized and clean workspace
- Keep track of components for multiple projects
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma, or equivalent
Skills & Certifications
- Experience with soldering, cable assembly, crimping and wiring preferred.
- Safely work around ESD sensitive devices.
- Ability to lift to shoulder height and carry up to 50 lbs.
- While unassisted: bend, sit, kneel, and squat, balance, twist and turn, reach over one's shoulders, walk and stand continuously for extended periods of time.
- Must be responsible and reliable.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Ability to read, understand and carefully follow work instructions.
- Ability to interpret assembly drawings.
- Detail oriented, with a firm understanding and execution of quality control standards.
