About the Role
Join our team at Kooragang Island as Production Operator.
This is a hands-on operational role where you'll be trained to safely operate and monitor the plant and equipment used within the Primary Distribution Centre.
We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, good basic IT skills and a willingness to learn. You do not need extensive industry experience – we will provide the training and support you need to become confident in the role.
What You Will Be Doing
- Safely operating and monitoring plant and equipment
- Using computer-based systems to monitor the process and record information
- Completing routine plant and equipment checks
- Following operating procedures and safety requirements
- Identifying and reporting issues or equipment faults
- Supporting the team to achieve production and operational targets
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment
- Learning new processes, equipment and systems through on-the-job training
About You
You do not need to have extensive manufacturing or industrial experience to be successful in this role. We are looking for someone who:
- Has a positive attitude and is willing to learn
- Is comfortable using computers and basic IT systems
- Is reliable, safety-focused and takes pride in their work
- Has a strong commitment to safety
- Can follow procedures and work well as part of a team
- Has good communication skills
- Is keen to learn a new industry and develop their skills
- Has previous experience in manufacturing, production, mining, agriculture or a similar environment (desirable, but not essential).
