The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our Finance team, supporting the Financial Reporting Manager in delivering accurate, compliant and timely financial reporting across the William Adams Group.
This is a senior technical role with broad exposure across multiple entities, international operations and external audits. You'll take ownership of month-end and year-end reporting, provide trusted financial advice, mentor junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement across our finance function.
Your Key Responsibilities
In this role you will:
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and deliver month-end and year-end financial reporting across multiple entities.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, statutory and internal reporting requirements, including IFRS 16.
- Prepare and lodge BAS, PAYG and FBT returns and assist with subsidiary financial statements.
- Coordinate external audits across Australia, Singapore and Vietnam, acting as the key contact for auditors and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare accurate financial analysis and reporting to support business decision-making.
- Mentor and support team members and act as delegate for the Financial Reporting Manager when required.
- Contribute to budgeting, strengthen internal controls and identify opportunities to improve financial processes.
- Support environmental and sustainability reporting requirements.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- A degree in Accounting or Finance and a CA or CPA qualification.
- At least five years' experience in a commercial or chartered accounting environment (Big 4 experience will be highly regarded).
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS and multi-entity reporting.
- Demonstrated experience managing month-end, year-end and external audit processes.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to coach others and contribute as a senior member of the Finance team.
- Experience with TM1, SQL or financial modelling will be advantageous.
