Carbuyers Pty Ltd is a leading automotive purchasing company specialising in acquiring quality used vehicles directly from private owners. We purchase hundreds of vehicles each year and supply them to an extensive network of licensed motor dealers throughout Australia.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Vehicle Buyer / Acquisition Specialist to join our Burwood team.
This is not an entry-level position. Previous automotive industry experience is essential.
About the Role
Working from our Burwood office, you will be responsible for purchasing quality used vehicles from private owners.
You will be provided with a consistent flow of company-generated leads while also being expected to source additional vehicles through your own networking, referrals and prospecting activities.
This is a fast-paced, KPI-driven role where your ability to negotiate, build relationships and secure vehicle purchases will directly contribute to your success. Key Responsibilities
- Contact and manage company-generated vehicle purchase enquiries.
- Source additional vehicles through your own business development activities.
- Negotiate purchase prices with private vehicle owners.
- Accurately assess vehicle condition and market value.
- Arrange inspections and complete vehicle purchases.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers and referral partners.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and follow-up activities.
- Consistently achieve monthly vehicle purchasing targets.
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- Previous experience buying or valuing used motor vehicles.
- Experience working for a motor dealer, vehicle buying service, wholesaler or dealership.
- Strong knowledge of the Australian used vehicle market.
- Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
- Proven ability to consistently achieve sales or purchasing KPIs.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A current Australian driver's licence.
