Evoenergy has a unique opportunity for an experienced field delivery leader to step into a critical leadership role within the Network Delivery team. As Manager Ground and Zone Assets Delivery, you will be directly responsible for overseeing planned and unplanned maintenance and Capital Works programs across our Zone Substations, protection systems and on-ground and underground assets within the Evoenergy Electrical Distribution Network. You will lead large multidisciplined field teams including Distribution and Transmission substation electrical fitters, protection and control specialists, HV testers and underground cable jointing teams to deliver safe, reliable outcomes for the ACT community.
Within this role, you’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering major capital and maintenance programs, leading teams through change, and driving operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end delivery of Ground and Zone Substation asset programs, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient network outcomes across a complex distribution environment

Provide operational leadership and technical oversight of zone substations, switching stations and associated ground and underground assets

Lead, coach and develop large, multidisciplinary field-based teams, driving strong engagement, capability uplift and performance outcomes

Deliver capital and maintenance programs at scale, on time and within budget, using a disciplined, risk-based and commercially focused approach

Lead teams through operational and organisational change, embedding new ways of working and driving continuous improvement in field delivery

Manage significant operational budgets, including planning, forecasting and optimisation of resources in a constrained environment

Oversee contractor and service provider performance, establishing strong commercial arrangements to support safe and efficient project delivery

Partner with Asset Management and Network Design functions to influence asset strategies based on frontline insights into asset performance and emerging risks

Lead emergency response and restoration activities, coordinating field resources to safely restore supply and minimise customer impact

Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with regulatory, industrial relations and environmental requirements across all field operations
Our Ideal Candidate

Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems preferred) or an Electrical Trade background with extensive experience in either the distribution or transmission sector

Proven experience leading large, multidisciplinary field-based teams in complex, industrial environments

Demonstrated track record delivering large-scale capital and maintenance programs (>$20M), with strong financial, commercial and project management capability

Deep operational knowledge of electricity network infrastructure, with the ability to translate asset performance insights into practical delivery outcomes

Experience leading teams through change, including improvements to safety, work delivery and operational performance across field environments

Strong capability in managing safety and risk, combined with the ability to think both strategically and operationally to plan, prioritise and deliver outcomes in a dynamic network environment
