The Office of the Information Commissioner (OIC) plays an important role in Queensland's integrity framework and is an independent statutory body that reports to Parliament. We have statutory functions and powers under the Right to Information Act 2009 (RTI Act) and the Information Privacy Act 2009 (IP Act) to uphold greater and easier access to information held by government agencies, assisting agencies to understand their obligations under the RTI and IP Acts, and use our regulatory powers to improve compliance.

About the Role
The Senior Review Officer is responsible for assessing routine and complex external review applications under the RTI and IP Acts. You will engage with parties to discuss review issues, identifying opportunities for informal resolution, or prepare clear and concise formal decisions for delegate consideration. You will also mentor and guide Review Officers, and contribute to meeting organisational performance and service targets.
