About the role
The Senior Social Worker - Mental Health Clinician delivers high-quality, evidence-based social work services within the Caboolture Adult Mental Health Team. As a senior member of a multidisciplinary mental health service, the role provides advanced clinical assessment, intervention and leadership for consumers experiencing severe and complex mental health conditions, with care delivered through recovery-oriented and trauma-informed frameworks.
The successful candidate will manage a complex caseload, provide specialist social work interventions and contribute to high-quality consumer care through clinical leadership, advocacy and multidisciplinary collaboration. The role also provides professional supervision and support to less experienced social workers while contributing to service development, quality improvement and community engagement initiatives.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Provide advanced social work assessment, intervention and case management services for consumers with complex mental health needs and their families and carers.
Apply high-level clinical judgement and evidence-based practice within recovery-oriented and trauma-informed models of care.
Work collaboratively with consumers, carers, multidisciplinary teams and community stakeholders to support coordinated and person-centred care.
Provide clinical leadership, professional supervision and education to social workers, students and other members of the healthcare team.
Lead and contribute to quality improvement, service development, stakeholder engagement and community partnership initiatives that enhance mental health outcomes.
