About the Role
The Executive Officer provides executive support, strategic and operational coordination, and programme administration to the Executive Director of Co-Curricular Education (EDCC) and the Co-Curricular Education directorate. The role is the administrative and coordination anchor of the directorate, enabling the EDCC and programme leaders to focus on delivery across Music, Creative and Performing Arts, Sport and Outdoor Education.
It supports implementation and review of the Co-Curricular Strategy; maintains the participation, access and performance data that evidence inclusive access and programme quality; coordinates the directorate's events, fixtures, tours and showcases; and supports the workforce, compliance and activity-safety administration that a large specialist team and high-activity programme require.
The role requires a high standard of professional execution, sound judgement about scope and confidentiality, strong initiative across a broad and visible portfolio.
About You
You are dedicated, passionate and possess the following:
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent demonstrated professional experience in executive support
- Demonstrated experience coordinating projects or organisational initiatives and producing high-quality reports, presentations and correspondence
- Excellent written English and effective interpersonal communication skills
- Exceptional organisational skills and the capacity to manage competing priorities across a complex calendar
- High proficiency in computer literacy (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams, Adobe Design, Synergetic)
- Meticulous attention to detail and high standards for accuracy and presentation
- Sound judgement about scope, confidentiality and institutional sensitivity, handling matters involving students, families and colleagues with discretion, diplomacy and integrity
- Initiative and the capacity to work independently and flexibly, while collaborating effectively within a team
- A service oriented, professional approach, with reliability and punctuality against deadlines
- A valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card.
Desirable:
- Experience in an independent school, university or complex not-for-profit environment
- Experience supporting co-curricular, events or programme administration.
