Accounts Payable Officer

We're looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our collaborative Finance team. If you thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, enjoy finding efficiencies, and take pride in accuracy, we'd love to hear from you.
Working as part of a team of three, you'll play a key role in managing end-to-end Accounts Payable across our growing network of veterinary clinics, processing approximately 300–500 invoices each week. We're incredibly proud of the collaborative and supportive culture we've built within the team, where everyone works together, pitches in, and genuinely enjoys celebrating each other's successes. You'll also have the opportunity to work with innovative technology, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and AI-enabled Document Capture, while contributing to continuous improvements across our AP function.
What you'll be doing

Managing end-to-end Accounts Payable processing, including invoice entry, supplier maintenance and payment preparation.

Processing approximately 300–500 invoices across the team per week across multiple business entities.

Preparing weekly payment batches, contractor payments and business expense reimbursements.

Reconciling supplier accounts and resolving invoice or payment discrepancies.

Utilising Document Capture to automate invoice processing and improve efficiency.

Supporting month-end activities, including creditor reconciliations.

Maintaining accurate supplier records and ensuring invoices are GST compliant.

Identifying opportunities to improve processes and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Providing responsive support to clinics and stakeholders across the business.
What we're looking for

Previous Accounts Payable experience in a high-volume environment.

Experience using an ERP system, with exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central highly regarded.

Exposure to AI or automated document capture systems will be highly advantageous.

Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.

Confidence managing competing priorities while maintaining accuracy.

Good understanding of GST and general accounting principles.

Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.

A positive attitude and willingness to jump in and support the wider team.
