Wingham Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse to join our team in a part-time position (0.42 FTE), with the potential for additional shifts and future opportunities. An eligibility list will be created from this recruitment process and may be used to fill future permanent, temporary or casual vacancies within the service. Set in a beautiful rural location, Wingham Rehabilitation Hospital provides a welcoming and collaborative environment where nurses, medical officers, allied health professionals, HealthShare staff and security work closely together to deliver exceptional patient-centred care. Our service takes a planned and holistic approach to rehabilitation, supporting patients on their journey from acute care back into the community and helping them regain independence, confidence and quality of life.
What You Will Be Doing
Wingham Rehabilitation Hospital provides inpatient care for up to 16 patients, alongside outpatient and hydrotherapy services. As a Registered Nurse, you will work closely with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team to develop and support individual rehabilitation goals. You will provide high-quality nursing care while promoting recovery, independence and positive health outcomes. You will utilise a broad range of clinical skills including care planning, medication management, wound care, clinical documentation and patient safety initiatives such as falls prevention, pressure injury management and manual handling practices. Working alongside Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in Nursing, you will contribute to the day-to-day operation of the unit and provide leadership and coordination of the facility during after-hours shifts.
Shift times include:
- Morning: 7:00am – 3:30pm
- Afternoon: 1:00pm – 9:30pm
- Night: 9:00pm – 7:30am

About you
You are a passionate Registered Nurse who enjoys building meaningful relationships with patients and supporting them throughout their rehabilitation journey. You bring recent nursing experience within an acute or subacute hospital setting and are committed to delivering safe, high-quality care. You enjoy working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and are motivated by helping patients achieve their individual recovery goals. Your strong clinical skills, compassionate approach and commitment to person-centred care will allow you to thrive in this role. Please note that this position is not suitable for New Graduate Registered Nurses or applicants seeking employer sponsorship.
