Family Bridge Australia is seeking compassionate, professional, and reliable Child Contact Supervisors to join our growing team as independent contractors.
This role involves supervising and facilitating child-parent contact visits, observing interactions, maintaining professional boundaries, and preparing accurate observational reports. Our services support children and families navigating separation, Family Court proceedings, and other complex family circumstances.
This is a flexible contractor position, ideal for experienced professionals looking to supplement existing work within family services, community services, social work, psychology, youth work, or related fields.
About the Role
As a Child Contact Supervisor, you will:
- Supervise child-parent contact visits in community-based settings
- Facilitate safe and child-focused interactions
- Remain neutral and professional at all times
- Observe and document interactions objectively
- Prepare detailed post-visit reports and case notes
- Manage arrivals and departures in accordance with service procedures
- Respond appropriately to incidents or concerns during visits
- Communicate professionally with families and Family Bridge Australia staff
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance with organisational policies
Essential Requirements
- Current ABN
- Current Working With Children Check
- Current National Police Check
- Current First Aid and CPR Certification
- Valid Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle
- Excellent written communication and report-writing skills
- Strong understanding of professional boundaries and confidentiality
- Ability to remain calm and impartial in emotionally complex situations
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Community Services, Youth Work, Counselling, Education, or a related field
- Experience within child contact services, child protection, family services, family violence services, youth work, education, or case management
- Experience writing professional reports, case notes, or observational documentation
- Understanding of Family Court and family services environments
