Risk Management (RM) plays a critical role in helping the Group make informed decisions by providing independent oversight, challenge and advice across a broad range of risks.
The Group Support Units (GSU) Line 2 Risk team partners with senior stakeholders across Marketing & Corporate Affairs, Financial Services, Group Strategy, Legal & Group Secretariat, Human Resources and Risk Management. Supporting six Group Executives, the team provides independent oversight of Operational and Compliance Risk while helping leaders navigate complex business decisions and emerging risk issues.

As Executive Manager, Operational Risk & Compliance, you will provide independent oversight, challenge and advice across a broad and diverse portfolio of Support Units. Partnering with senior stakeholders, you'll help shape risk outcomes, influence key business decisions and provide strategic insights on emerging risks and opportunities.
This is a highly visible leadership role requiring strong stakeholder management, influencing and prioritisation skills. You'll be comfortable working across multiple portfolios, navigating competing demands and rapidly shifting priorities, while providing strategic risk advice to senior leaders across the Group.
More specifically, you will:
Provide independent oversight and challenge of operational and compliance risk activities across the Support Units.
Partner with senior leaders to deliver pragmatic, risk-based advice that supports informed business decisions.
Identify emerging risks and trends, connecting insights across portfolios to drive meaningful action.
Represent Risk in senior governance forums and executive committees.
Lead and develop a high-performing team of risk professionals.
Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the Group's risk and compliance frameworks.
We're interested in hearing from people who:
Have extensive experience in Operational and Compliance Risk, including monitoring, oversight and assurance activities within a complex, highly regulated environment.
Have experience managing diverse stakeholder groups across multiple business portfolios, with the ability to influence, challenge and communicate effectively at senior levels.
Are trusted advisors to senior leaders, with proven experience engaging Executive Managers, General Managers and Executive General Managers.
Demonstrate exceptional stakeholder management, communication and executive presence, adapting their style to different audiences, governance forums and leadership levels.
Can confidently navigate ambiguity, competing priorities and rapidly changing contexts while remaining focused on areas of greatest risk and impact.
Are strategic thinkers who can identify emerging risks, connect themes across the organisation and provide insightful challenge and guidance.
Are empathetic and strategic people leaders with a track record of building, developing and leading high-performing teams.
