About the role
An opportunity has arisen to join a busy and growing Liability litigation practice in our Melbourne office. This role has been created to support increased workflow and continued demand from long standing clients, with a strong focus on delivering high quality, pragmatic legal advice.
You will work on a broad range of litigated liability matters, primarily acting for insurance organisations and state and local government agencies. The practice has a strong personal injury focus and is suited to a lawyer who enjoys hands on litigation work and running matters with autonomy.
This is a genuine growth role, offering exposure to complex and interesting matters, direct client engagement and the opportunity to work closely with senior practitioners in a collaborative team environment. For the right candidate, there is flexibility in the mix of work and responsibility to align with experience and career goals.
About you
You will be an experienced lawyer at Associate (4+ PQE) to Senior Associate level with a background in personal injury matters. Candidates with either plaintiff or defendant experience are encouraged to apply.
Ideally, you will bring:
- Experience in personal injury matters
- The ability to run files independently on a day to day basis
- Strong attention to detail, with a diligent and methodical approach to work
- A proactive mindset and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
Clear communication skills and a professional approach to client service
