LOCATION : BEAUDESERT
Experience with thoroughbred racehorses essential.
Accommodation available.
Applicants must be already be based in Australia and eligible to work. Working Holiday Makers welcome, must have at least 6 months remaining on visa.
Applicants must have suitable experience working with horses and must be a reliable and efficient worker with an attention to detail.
Duties will include:
- Grooming and washing horses,
- Walking horses,
- Saddling horses,
- Race Day attendance
- Swimming horses,
- General stable duties.
- Feed and watering horses in boxes and paddocks
- General farm duties
Most importantly we are looking for a person who demonstrates very good horse handling skills, a willingness to integrate themselves into the team, is honest, reliable, and self-motivated.
Applicants must be available to work early morning shifts, afternoons, and weekends.
Queensland Racing Stable Hand license is essential. If you do not have a current license you must be willing to obtain one.
Rate of pay will be in accordance with the successful applicants’ experience and ability.
