Penelope Bistro is looking for a hardworking and dependable Kitchen Porter to join our vibrant kitchen team.
Penelope is a modern European-inspired bistro renowned for exceptional food, warm hospitality and a fast-paced service environment. We're seeking someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean, organised kitchen and enjoys being an essential part of a successful team.
About the Role
As a Kitchen Porter, you'll help keep our kitchen operating efficiently by ensuring cleanliness, organisation and support for our chefs throughout service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Washing dishes, glassware, pots, pans and kitchen equipment
- Maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment
- Assisting with basic food preparation when required
- Receiving and putting away deliveries
- Emptying bins and maintaining waste and recycling areas
- Cleaning floors, benches, cool rooms and kitchen equipment
- Following food safety and workplace health and safety procedures
- Supporting the chefs during busy service periods
What We're Looking For

- Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen
