Accountant
This role is responsible for assisting with bookkeeping, year-end accounts preparation, tax compliance, and preparation of supporting workpapers for a diverse range of clients.
· Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for business and individual clients.
· Prepare annual financial statements, management reports, and statutory accounts.
· Analyse financial information and prepare reports on business performance and financial position.
· Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank accounts, and other financial records.
· Assist clients with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
· Provide financial and business performance analysis to clients.
· Assist clients in developing business plans, budgets, and financial forecasts.
· Identify opportunities for improving profitability, efficiency, and internal financial controls.
· Support clients with business structuring, and growth strategies.
· Prepare and lodge income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, companies, and self-managed superannuation funds (where applicable).
· Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS), Instalment Activity Statements (IAS), and Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) returns.
· Ensure compliance with Australian taxation legislation and Australian Taxation Office (ATO) requirements.
· Build and maintain professional relationships with clients.
· Respond to client enquiries regarding accounting, taxation, and financial matters.
· Provide clear and accurate financial advice and recommendations.
· Attend client meetings and present financial information when required.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2+ years' experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or taxation.
- Strong understanding of Australian accounting and taxation principles.
- Demonstrated experience using Xero and QuickBooks is essential.
- Ability to prepare financial statements, tax returns, BAS, and supporting workpapers.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Minimum Master’s degree in related field

Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
