The Role
An opportunity has become available for an Work Health and Safety Advisor to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Provide expert advice and recommending solutions on injury prevention issues and systems
Review or investigate accidents and incidents in facilities with staff, and facilitate the preparation of management reports on these issues
Implement health and safety initiatives, strategies and programs at facilities to meet Departmental policy requirements
Undertake auditing and inspections of relevant systems ascertaining compliance with legislation and approved policy/guidelines
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
Driver Licence
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)
While not mandatory, a relevant qualification would be well regarded.
