About the role
Working across the Northern, Western and Eastern suburbs of Adelaide, we are seeking an experienced Gardener to join our team and provide general gardening services to Life Care clients in their homes.
This is a casual, client-facing role involving travel to various locations. You will engage daily with elderly clients while delivering reliable, high-quality gardening and grounds maintenance services that help them maintain safe, tidy and enjoyable outdoor spaces.
Responsibilities
- Provide general gardening and grounds maintenance services at clients’ homes.
- Complete lawn care, including mowing and general lawn upkeep.
- Carry out weeding and minor trimming maintenance.
- Use gardening equipment safely and responsibly, maintaining your own tools and equipment to a professional standard.
- Plan and prioritise daily work schedules to complete appointments efficiently.
- Build positive, respectful relationships with elderly clients and provide friendly, customer-focused service.
- Represent the Life Care team professionally when working in the community.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding work requirements, schedules and any issues identified onsite.
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship, safety and presentation at every job.
About you
You will be a self-motivated and organised individual with excellent time management skills and the ability to effectively prioritise your workload. You take pride in your work, work well as part of a team and bring a positive, can-do attitude to every interaction.
Your well-developed interpersonal skills and strong customer service focus will help you succeed in this role and contribute to the quality service provided by the Life Care team.
Essential requirements
- Trade qualifications or equivalent experience in gardening, grounds maintenance and/or landscaping is desirable.
- Unencumbered current South Australian driver’s licence.
- Own reliable vehicle, with kilometre allowance available.
- National Police Clearance for Working with Aged Care / Vulnerable Groups.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Own gardening equipment, with a tools allowance available.
