Tarrays is a NDIS service provider supporting individuals across community and disability support settings. We are seeking compassionate, reliable support workers to join our team on a casual basis in Batemans Bay.
About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated Support Worker to provide high-quality, person-centred support to NDIS participants in their homes and communities. This casual role offers flexible shifts and the opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of people living with disability.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care support, including assistance with hygiene, dressing, and mobility, in line with individual support plans
- Support participants with daily living tasks such as meal preparation, light domestic duties, and medication prompting
- Assist participants with community access, appointments, and social activities to promote independence and inclusion
- Support participants to achieve their NDIS goals in accordance with their individual plans
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including progress notes and incident reports
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and safeguarding practices
- Communicate professionally with participants, families, coordinators, and the Tarrays team
- Report any changes in participant wellbeing or support needs promptly
About You
- Genuine passion for supporting people with disability to live full and independent lives
- Patient, empathetic, and reliable approach to care
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings, weekends, or public holidays as required
- Sound communication and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
Essential Requirements
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent qualification, or relevant experience in disability or aged care support
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- First Aid and CPR certificate (current)
- Current NSW driver's licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle
- Right to work in Australia
Desirable
- Experience supporting participants with complex needs, behaviours of concern, or high physical support needs
- Manual handling training
- Medication administration competency
