For over 50 years, Taldumande Youth Services (TYS) has stood alongside young people at some of the most critical moments in their lives—providing specialist support through homelessness, crisis and family breakdown.
As we continue to grow and expand our services, we’re looking for an experienced and passionate Coordinator to lead a dedicated team delivering high-quality, trauma-informed care across casework and residential programs.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Program Manager – Homelessness Services, you’ll lead and support a team of Case Workers and Youth Workers to deliver high-quality, client-centred services.
You’ll oversee the full casework lifecycle, from intake and assessment through to transition, ensuring best-practice, compliance, and positive outcomes for young people.
What you’ll be doing

Provide supervision, coaching, and day-to-day leadership
- Manage rosters, performance, and team development
- Build a strong, collaborative team culture
- Oversee case management, ensuring timely and effective support
- Guide staff in responding to complex needs and trauma
- Ensure culturally safe and inclusive practices
- Build strong partnerships with DCJ, housing providers, health and education partners
- Advocate for young people and represent TYS across the sector.
- Ensure strong program performance through accurate reporting, KPI tracking, and full legislative compliance.
Essential Requirements

At least 3 Years’ experience in the same or similar Team Leader position
- Demonstrated experience in homelessness, casework, outreach or youth services.
- Knowledge of homelessness and crisis-related issues affecting young people and families.
- Previous experience supervising or leading staff.
- Ability to participate in an on-call roster and respond to emergencies when required.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field
- Unrestricted driver's licence and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle.
- Current NSW Working with Children Check
- Satisfactory National Criminal History Check
- Current NSW Driver Licence

Relevant qualification (Social Work, Psychology, Community Services or similar) Experience in homelessness services or casework/outreach
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of trauma-informed and strengths-based practice
- Ability to engage and support young people with complex needs
- Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
