We are now looking for a skilled and reliable Cook to join our team at Shop 103, 42 Solent Circuit, Norwest NSW 2153.
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Cook to work alongside our existing kitchen team at Angelica Mexican. This role suits someone with a genuine passion for cooking, good knowledge of Mexican cuisine, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Prepare and cook food items in accordance with recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Cook – Key Duties
● Prepare and pre-process ingredients for Mexican dishes, including marinating meats and preparing sauces, fillings and other essential ingredients in accordance with menu requirements.
● Carry out daily food preparation and batch cooking to ensure sufficient ingredient supply during peak service periods and support efficient kitchen operations.
● Maintain consistent food quality by following standard recipes and controlling seasoning, cooking methods and portion sizes.
● Portion, label and store prepared ingredients in compliance with food safety and hygiene requirements.
● Monitor stock levels, report inventory requirements to the Head Chef, and assist with ordering and receiving food supplies to minimise waste and maintain adequate stock.
● Replenish prepared ingredients and assist with cooking tasks during busy service periods to meet customer demand.
● Assist the Head Chef with developing and refining menu items, including recipe testing, flavour adjustments and presentation improvements.
● Report daily food preparation, kitchen operations and stock status to the Head Chef, and carry out assigned kitchen duties as required.
● Assist in training and supporting kitchen hands and junior staff by demonstrating proper food preparation and cooking techniques.
● Maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen environment while complying with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety regulations at all times.
As a qualified candidate, we hope you:
● Minimum 1 years of experience as a cook

Salary : $80,000 + Super per year
Pay: $80,000.00 per year
