Tertiary qualifications in a health science or equivalent and/or demonstrated equivalent extensive experience in a health care setting.

Strong knowledge and understanding of clinical trial regulatory and governance requirements including in ICH-GCP, NHMRC National Statement, TGA legislation, NGTGF, NSQHS Standards, ethical and other relevant guidelines with the ability to interpret and apply these in complex operational environments.

Extensive experience coordinating clinical trials, including in-depth knowledge of trial start-up and regulatory, recruitment, participant scheduling, monitoring and audit preparation, data management requirements, incident reporting, quality and compliance, and close-out processes across multiple sites, within a health, research or hospital environment.

Demonstrated and proven ability to provide leadership, mentoring and operational oversight to a multidisciplinary workforce, with demonstrated capability in workforce development, supervision and promoting a positive team culture.

Demonstrated leadership in implementing and/or implementing quality management systems, including SOP development, audit readiness, CAPA processes, continuous improvement together with a strong capability in directing and optimizing clinical trial systems and digital platforms to ensure data quality, system integrity and consistent multi-site operational performance.

Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation and relationship-management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with investigators, operational teams, support services, sponsors, CROs and executive stakeholders.

High level analytical problem-solving, performance monitoring and communication skills with the ability to interpret operational data, identify risks and implement solutions, together and prepare reports, operational updates and briefing material for senior leadership/District wide committees.

Strong financial management capability, including monitoring activity-based billing, contributing to budget development, ensuring accurate milestone capture and identifying and escalating financial risks or discrepancies.
Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P- . Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
