About the role
The Leasing Contracts Manager plays a key role in overseeing TAFE NSW's outsourced leasing service provider, ensuring strong contract governance, performance and continuous improvement outcomes. The role requires the ability to influence and negotiate with diverse internal and external stakeholders to deliver leasing outcomes, drive service delivery improvements and provide expert commercial advice across a complex stakeholder environment. The position is also responsible for preparing high-quality reports, briefings and executive correspondence to support strategic decision-making and governance requirements.
About You
You are an experienced property professional with a background in commercial real estate, landlord leasing or property transactions, and a demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and deliver outcomes. You are a strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen, sound judgement and excellent relationship management skills, able to influence and negotiate with diverse internal and external stakeholders. An eye for detail and a sound understanding of contracts are essential, whether managing existing arrangements, overseeing service provider performance or supporting the negotiation of new agreements. You thrive in a collaborative environment, enjoy working as part of a team and are motivated to contribute to shared goals. You bring a continuous improvement mindset, balancing risk, compliance and stakeholder needs while providing trusted advice in a complex operating environment.
To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following essential requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in a commercial property or related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge, skills experience
- At least 5 years' experience in commercial real estate (CRE), landlord leasing or property transactions across diverse property and asset types, together with an understanding of NSW Government leasing requirements.
- Experience with contract performance management activities in a public sector environment.
- Experience with operational management of contracted service delivery and change management activities.
- A valid Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement).
