We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join our team and help ensure our services consistently meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and supporting service excellence across multiple Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) services.
As the Compliance Officer, you will work closely with service leaders and the management team to monitor compliance, support continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure our services remain aligned with the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, the National Quality Framework (NQF), and organisational policies.
You will play a key role in identifying opportunities for improvement, managing compliance activities, and supporting services to achieve and maintain high-quality outcomes.
- Conduct monthly compliance and quality audits across all services.
- Monitor compliance with legislation, regulations, National Quality Standards, and organisational policies.
- Develop, track, and monitor corrective action plans arising from audits, incidents, and identified risks.
- Support services in developing, implementing, and reviewing Quality Improvement Plans (QIPs).
- Coordinate evidence collection and service readiness for Assessment and Rating visits.
- Monitor incidents, complaints, and compliance breaches, identifying trends and recommending preventative actions.
- Maintain audit schedules, compliance records, risk registers, and action registers.
- Deliver compliance guidance, coaching, and training to Service Leaders and management.
- Monitor changes to legislation and communicate regulatory updates across the organisation.
- Produce monthly compliance and quality reports, including audit outcomes, incident trends, compliance risks, training completion, and progress against Quality Improvement Plans.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and best practice across all services.
You are organised, analytical, and passionate about maintaining high standards. You enjoy working collaboratively, building relationships, and supporting others to achieve compliance and quality outcomes.
You will ideally have:

Experience in compliance, quality assurance, or operational support within the Early Childhood Education and Care sector.
- Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Quality Standards (NQS), Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, and Child Safe Standards.
- Experience conducting audits and managing compliance systems.
- Excellent report writing, documentation, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and coaching abilities.
- High attention to detail with exceptional organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital compliance management systems.
- A current Working with Children Check (or the ability to obtain one).
- A current driver's licence and willingness to travel between services.
